The unit has manually controlled metering pump able to handle high viscosity polymers.
This Electromechanical Diaphragm Metering pump can deliver up to 96 gpd of polymer. Remember 1 gallon of neat polymer will treat (flock) up to 7,500 gallon of 1.0% sludge. Which means this unit could treat (96 gpd X 7,500 gals = 720,000 gpd) 720,000 gallons of 1% sludge per 24 hr. day.
This unit can treat from 0 to 500 gpm of 1.0% sludge. (96 gpd divided by 24 hrs = 4 gals per hour, 4 gal X 7,500 gals of sludge = 30,000 gals per hour, 30,000 gals divided by 60 mins. = 500 gals per min sludge flow)
This metering pump will not burnt up if you run it dry, unlike the “EXCELL” 6000 unit we have used in the pass.
Unlike the more complicated systems the 18″ static mixer for blending polymer and water is motor-less non mechanical.
Like the other units a 4-10 mA amp signal can be sent to this unit for automatic operations.
